Lar Sol da Esperança was founded in 1983 by a couple who, moved by the children who wandered the streets of the town of Mauà, decided to welcome them at a family property, offering them accommodations and protection. Over the course of 29 years of hard work and dedication, the institution was professionalized and changed the lives of more than 800 children and adolescents.
Thanks to the contributions and support of entities and companies in the city of Mauà, such as ADI Center Brasil, children have received medical assistance, food, and pedagogical and psychological support.
Lar Sol da Esperança, also strives to restructure the families of the children so that they can live with them again some day, and, when this is not possible, they look for families to adopt them.
